On A Mission...
Cedar Grove Christian Academy is a Christ-centered, mission-minded school. Students have the privilege of serving our community through our missions program using Acts 1:8 as our guideline. Throughout the year, each class will go out and serve in their mission field (Jerusalem and Judea). Also, in their missions classes, they will learn about, pray for, communicate with, and contribute to other missionaries serving elsewhere (the uttermost part of the earth).
Vision
Our goal is the development of students prepared academically and spiritually to serve Jesus Christ and to impact the world through their character and leadership.

Conduct
All constituents of the CGCA community are expected to manifest the highest Christian virtues in judgment, dignity, respect, and living as long as they are associated with CGCA.
Education and Learning
Learning is something we do every day
VISION STATEMENT
Our goal is the development of students prepared academically and spiritually to serve Jesus Christ and to impact the world through their character and leadership.
Rooted in Christ: We believe that it is our mission to develop students both academically and spiritually so that when they depart from Cedar Grove Christian Academy they are firmly rooted in Christ. We, therefore, provide every student with an education that overflows with Biblical truth in every subject; surrounding them with examples of servant-leaders, and encouraging them to utilize their minds and actions to develop a worldview that is founded in faith.
Ready for Tomorrow: We believe that it is our goal to instill in each student the passion to serve the Lord Jesus Christ through their character and leadership. Cedar Grove Christian Academy endeavors to prepare students to become Christ-like leaders in their schools, churches, communities, families, and vocations. To learn more about our beliefs, please read our Statement of Faith.
SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY
Since man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27), we are divine image bearers. As divine image bearers, we were created to glorify God, and to know Him It is imperative that Christian education's loftiest goal is to educate its students in the knowledge of that God whose image they bear, and to make it the highest science that engages the student's mind. The knowledge of God is the best and highest form of knowledge that has its beginning in the fear of God (Proverbs 1:7) A proper fear of God leads man to wonder and marvel at the mystery of the Godhead; to pursue and understand the complex nature of His creation; to develop abilities to think carefully and critically about the issues of life and death; to understand how the knowledge of God leads to scientific discoveries as every aspect of creation is investigated.
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding" (Proverbs 9:10). The knowledge of the Holy One is the fertile ground in which wisdom grows, therefore it is essential that the Christian education of children include the Holy Scriptures, which are the bone and marrow of our knowledge of God, and are able to make children "wise for salvation" (2 Timothy 4:15). "The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge" (Proverbs 18:15).
There can be no knowledge or wisdom apart from truth, thus Christian education must exhaust every means to discover and know the truth. Truth finds its Alpha and Omega, its beginning and its end in Jesus Christ, whose very name is Truth (John 14:6; Revelation 19:11). As Jesus is the one true God, who "is the same yesterday, today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8), and "with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning" (James 1:17); therefore truth, all truth, is absolute and not relative and rests on the unchanging standards of the word of God.
Therefore, education should first and foremost be the pursuit of knowing God our creator. We seek to educate all students from the basis of God's revealed truth in the Bible. The primary place for this education is the home. The church also plays an essential role in the pursuit of true knowledge and wisdom. The school comes alongside the home and the church and supports and aids in the education process. The school can not take the place of home and church, and should never promote or teach ideas contrary to, or challenging the truth of God being taught in the home and in the church.
The purpose of Christian education, then, is to discover the sublime realities of God as He has revealed Himself in the Scripture and in nature. It must be the goal of Christian education to instruct our children about the true nature of the Triune God, and how that knowledge affects and instructs all the sciences and the rigors of academic pursuits.
STATEMENT of FAITH
We believe in the one true God (Deuteronomy 6:4), manifest in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
We believe that it is the purpose of the Father to have a people for His name, and that He has set His love on His people from eternity (Ephesians 1:2- 11); that the Son of God, Jesus Christ, died to accomplish the salvation purposed by the Father, that He rose from the dead after three days in the grave and ascended to heaven where He is seated at the right hand of God (Matthew 1:21; John 10:14-30; John 3:16; 1 Timothy 1:15; Luke 19:10; Matthew 28:5-6; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 1:3), and that He is fully God and fully Man (John 1:1-18); that the Holy Spirit is the Divine energy, also fully God, proceeding from the Father and the Son and the Author of the "new birth" to affectively (moving the "new" heart) and effectively (engaging the "new" will) appropriating the death of the Son of God to the salvation of sinners (John 3:3-8; Titus 3:5), and that the work of the Holy Spirit is to testify of the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:26; 15:26), and that He (the Holy Ghost) "when He is come will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment" (John 16:8).
We believe that God created man in His own image (Genesis 1:26); that man fell into gross and wicked sin (Genesis 3:1-24); that Adam is our first parent and the Representative Head of fallen man (Romans 5:12-19), whereby the nature communicated to Adam's posterity is a fallen nature, so that every person born after the fall of Adam is born a sinner and a stranger to the grace of God and is condemned already (John 3:17-18).
We believe that people cannot be saved apart from repentance and faith; both repentance and faith are the gracious gifts of God to lost sinners (Acts 20:21).
We believe that the Bible is the infallible, inerrant, verbally inspired Word of God, written by holy men of old as they were moved by God (2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:15-17).
We believe that the Church is a called-out body of believers that is both local and universal: local in that believers are called out in particular regions and unite for worship (Romans 1:7; 1 Corinthians 1:2; Galatians 1:2); universal in that they are redeemed from every "kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation" (Revelation 7:9).
We believe that the return of Jesus Christ is imminent (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17).
We believe that people are saved by the "foolishness of preaching" (1 Corinthians 1:18), and that ministers must preach "Jesus Christ and Him crucified" (1 Corinthians 2:2).
We believe God establishes and defines the marriage covenant in His Word and the Bible teaches us that marriage is between one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:24) People or governments do not have the authority to change the biblical definition of marriage. God does not acknowledge any other definition of marriage.
We believe the Bible teaches there is only one race, the human race, and that all people are blood relatives descended from Adam and Eve. Hating other people because they look, act, speak, or have different cultural or personal preferences than you do, or for any other reason, is the core sin of failing to obey the second great commandment, "to love your neighbor as yourself." (Mark 12:31)
We believe that all human life is sacred beginning at the moment of conception and ending at a person's natural death. (Psalm 139:13-16) Accordingly, every unborn child is a living human being, created in the image of God, and must be respected and protected both before and after birth. Direct or indirect volitional taking of any innocent human life by any means and by any individual or entity through abortion or euthanasia constitutes a violation of the sanctity of human life and is a sin against God and a crime against man.
We believe that God acts to give each person a gender by wonderfully and immutably creating each person as distinctly male or female. (Psalm 139:13-16, Deuteronomy 22:5) These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. Rejection, whether by personal volition or compulsion, of one's biological gender is a rejection of the image of God within that person and a sin against God.
We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. (Hebrews 13:4) Condoning, engaging in, or facilitating of any form of sexual intimacy outside of marriage is sexually immoral, sinful, and offensive to God. Any form of sexual immorality is sinful and offensive to God. (Jude 1:7) Sexual immorality includes but is not limited to adultery, fornication, homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, pornography, and attempting to change one's biological sex or otherwise acting upon any disagreement with one's biological sex. (1 Corinthians 6:12-20)
We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of the Cedar Grove Christian Academy, to commit to traditional education in a Christ-centered environment, to act as a faithful and local component of the Body of Christ, and to provide Biblical instruction and modeling to the Academy's students, faculty, staff, families, and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by Cedar Grove Christian Academy in any capacity, who serve as volunteers, or independent contractors, should abide by and agree to our Statement of Faith and conduct themselves accordingly. (1 Corinthians 1:10)
CODE of CONDUCT
Conduct as Christians
All constituents of the Cedar Grove Christian Academy community (students, staff, volunteers, parents, etc.) are expected to manifest the highest Christian virtues in judgment, dignity, respect, and living as long as they are associated with the academy. Our expectations are grounded in our statements of faith, mission, and philosophy.
Students, volunteers, visitors, and staff are expected to dress modestly and in conformance with one's biological sex.
Students and staff are expected to avoid cheating, stealing and lying.
They are to respect the authority of teachers, administrators, and other staff members. Students will consider the lives of their classmates to be valuable and worthy of their respect (Philippians 2:3). The staff will consider students, parents, and colleagues to be worthy of their respect. They are also expected to respect school property and take good care of the facilities and equipment that they are provided (1 Peter 2:17).
The failure to comply with the expected standards of conduct will subject the student to disciplinary action up to expulsion, and the staff member disciplinary action up to termination. Others are subject to banishment from the campus.
Conduct toward Authority
Romans 13:1-5 instructs us to subject ourselves to authority. The matter of respect for teachers and administration is given the utmost importance at Cedar Grove Christian Academy. We are not above making mistakes, but everyone deserves to be treated with respect and courtesy (1 Corinthians 14:40; Philippians 2:3; Romans 12:10). Therefore, any student or parent who directs profanity, name calling, derogatory comments, or any other verbal or physical assault toward a staff member in person, in writing, by email, or social media may forfeit the student's continued attendance at Cedar Grove Christian Academy.
